Product Description

PixelPure 3G - PixelPure 3G has high 14-bit internal digital video processing for accurate 12-bit output, and is therefore capable of producing an amazing 4,096 levels of gradation for a smooth, natural picture without image banding. Superior processing creates a superior picture, and REGZA LCD TVs with PixelPure 3G set themselves apart with incredibly deep, sharp, and natural images, for home theater beyond your imagination. DynaLight Back-Light Control - DynaLight utilizes advanced PixelPure histogram image processing to monitor the brightness level of each video frame, and automatically adjusts the backlight intensity based on the image content. Precise signal analysis allows for 256 levels of backlight control. This creates seamless transitions, and a Dynamic contrast that is up to 5X that of the original panel contrast. The result is a considerably deeper black level for increased detail and depth. Built-in DVD Player - Incorporating a convenient slot-loading DVD player into the television set eliminates the need for extra wires or remotes. High Gloss Black Cabinetry - High gloss black cosmetics complement the set and incorporate the slim SoundStrip speaker system, for rich full sound from a compact cabinet.

"Toshiba has gone down hill!" 2009-09-14
By M. francom (slc, ut United States)
Dvd problems all over the place with this unit- after six months mine spits out nearly every dvd you put in it- it is a couple weeks out of warranty and Toshiba has basically told me 'go to the hot place"....and like it. Its disgusting when there is a tv/dvd combo that has obvious problems but a manufacture refuses to step up to the plate- Heck Ive had a no-name Emerson combo in the kids room I bought at Wal-Mart that has taken twice the abuse and has lasted twice as long- with no noticeable difference in picture quality- Toshiba used to be the dependable reasonably priced electronics manufacture with decent customer service- none of this applies anymore- do yourself a favor and get out of your head any positive thoughts you used to associate with this company.

"Still works great after more than a year" 2009-07-11
By The Prestige (CA, USA)
I've had this TV/DVD player combo for over a year now and have never had any problems with either the TV or the DVD player. I have to wonder if the problems that other users were having was due to misuse or abuse of the DVD slide-in-slot player. So far this combo unit has performed flawlessly for me.

 "Unreliable product" 2009-04-05
By bsptc (Austin, TX)
I bought this TV refurbished and it died less than 6 months later. A $25 diagnosis at the repair shop came up with $400 in repairs. The repair man also recommended against DVD/TV combos because they have a history of unreliability and tend to break easily. A call to Toshiba was fruitless except a "sorry it's out of warranty". If Toshiba had been more helpful I would have been more inclined to purchase another Toshiba TV without the combo but after their "we can't help you" service, I won't be giving them my business ever again. Stay away from this TV!

"Broken twice with same problem within 8 months" 2008-11-22
By M. J. Lu (Beaverton, OR)
I purchased this unti from Costco.com. When I first got this unit in February 2008, shortly afterwards the power wouldn't turn on and the DVD players' yellow light kept flashing. The Toshiba warranty service took it to the repair shop and I had to wait for 1 month to get it back. They had to upgrade the firmware to make it work. The TV broke again the 2nd time in October 2008 with the same problem and the Toshiba warranty repair took it to the shop on Nov. 6 (they only pick up/deliver the unit once a week on Thursdays) and they told me this time they have to replace a board and the parts won't be in until Nov. 24. They cannot repair it until they receive the parts. So I am still waiting here to get my TV back.

My boyfriend and I called Toshiba customer service to see what options were available to exchange this "defective" unit, since it had broken with the same issue twice, we felt that the unit itself was defective, and therefore should be replaced not just repaired. The Toshiba service would not do that, nor add an additional 1 year warranty to the unit as requested. The only compromise they would do is to extend the warranty for the duration of the repairs while the set was out of our hands. What if the unit breaks again the 3rd time with the same issue beyond the warranty period? Toshiba customer service told us that they don't even offer extended warranty for purchase. So if the unit broke again beyond the warranty period then I am out of luck. We're very disappointed on the Toshiba warranty policy.

 "DVD player problems!!" 2008-11-01
By Alejandro (Portland, OR USA)
The TV works ok, but the DVD player has frequent problems, freezing and keeping the disk inside...have NOT watched a full DVD w/out problems.
