The 47SL80 has amazing picture quality and very attractive, refined high-end styling. HD satellite feed, Blue-Ray, and PS3 are all incredible on this set...NO lip sync issues or any other problems, EXCELLENT TV !!!!

I have never written a review on Amazon before, but I do have to write a review on this TV as there is only one review giving it one star. I received this TV today and couldn't ask for better service from Amazon. They delivered it with the free shipping and the company even installed it for me! This TV has very beautiful lines and with its "borderless" frame design, I would have to agree with most it just makes it that much better. The intelligent sensor on this TV is a nice feature for people that like the TV to do all the adjusting automatically based on your lighting but I would have to say that using the vivid setting with the energy saving is the best setting. The trumotion 240 Hz is an excellent feature to have as it smoothes out jitter from previous 60 Hz models. Personally, I could not have picked a better TV for the price and I would have to say this is a steal and would recommend it to anyone!

I told myself when I bought this TV I would write a review on it, as the only one currently on here is 1 star. THIS TV FLAT OUT ROCKS!!! The picture quality on this thing is absolutely stunning. The Blacks are deep, and the lines are crisp. Right out of the box the preset picture settings are very good (I personally like the Vivid setting, the Xbox 360 and Gears of War look awesome). Even when the power is off on this tv, there isnt a tv on the market that looks nicer. This tv is only 1.8" thick at its thickest point, and having the "seamless" front it looks sleek and beautiful. I would highly reccommend this product to anyone. Only negatives about it is the sound quality is so-so, but I did get the Harman/Kardon HKTS-18 speakers and the pioneer VSX-819-K receiver to solve this slight problem. Overall I paid $1350 shipped for this tv, and could not be happier with this thing. I doubt you could find an LCD TV with a better picture than this at this pricepoint. This truly is a GREAT tv.

Pros: The television is very aesthetically pleasing.
Cons: At this time LG is aware of, and has been aware of, a lip sync issue with this model TV and previous models. They willingly distributed product to vendors and customers alike with full knowledge that there are conflicts with a number of cable boxes used by companies such as COMCAST but failed to mention this.
My issues with LG include knowingly shipping a defective television and poor customer service. If reliability and customer service are on your list of requirements for a television manufacturer, I suggest looking elsewhere.
I have called LG four times now. Every time I would call, they would review case details. While reviewing the case with me, they would mention the model number of the previous generation (non slimline). I would correct them only to have them essentially call me a liar and state that the TV in question does not exist.
Please research LG Lip Sync for more information.
Other Thoughts: Stay away. I have used LG products in the past and now regret doing so.
