Purchased the 47 inch 1080P VIZIO. (rate negative star)
Lasted two weeks before it started to develop problems, the screen fuzzed during the day, but it would work beautifully in the evening, could not figure out why this was happening... then after a month all fizz all the time. Needless to say I called VISIO and customer service was either not helpful or would hang up on me by transfering me to a bogus number that gave a generic recording before hanging up. And don't try to call their extended warranty number... they refer you to VISIO and tell you that VIZIO must honor their 1 year warranty before they could look at it.
- After looking on the net for VISIO reviews, it seems either the power board or the signal board is the problem, a common problem they don't want to address and something that would require a visit from a TV repair person.
Note:
I had an APC battery surge protector attached to it and no cable service (atsc antenna) and still the tv gave me problems (switching VGA, HDMI, etc. still produced this problem).

I just purchased this set at Costco. It's the 30A version, which has been improved significantly from the 10A version. (these specs come from the manual that I received with the 30A version. The manual on the Vizio site is for the 10A version.)
- Better Display. The 30A uses a new panel which displays 1.07 billion colors. The 10A panel displays 16.77 million.
- Better port access. There are now 2 HDMI, 1 Component, and 1 Composite connections all on the side. Another 2 HDMI, 1 Component, and 1 Composite connections, 1 s-video, 1 RGB around back.
- Improved Contrast Ratio. They bumped up the contrast from 1000:1 (2000:1 DCR) up to 1300:1 (6500:1 DCR).
- More Energy Efficient. It even appears they've improved the energy use from 280w avg to 157w avg. (set now featured on the Energy Star site).
- Lighter Weight. The 30A version (59 lbs) tv is even about 18 pounds lighter than the 10A version (77 lbs) (perhaps due to the change in panel).
- Thinner Bezel. The 30A version is now just under 44" w. The 10A was 44.5" w.
I've have not noticed any off-angle color shifts or dimming unless you're at the extreme edges. Even the speakers are much better than I expected (although I use a surround system for movies, etc).
I sat there at Costco and tweaked the Vizio until it looked better than the 46" 120hz Samsung sitting next to it (with the exception of really deep black levels and no 120hz).
Overall, this is just an excellent set. The only things that would make it better in my book would be 120hz, even deeper black level, a swivel stand, volume limiting, and if it cleaned my floors for me.

I purchased this TV over a year ago, and I couldn't be happier. It's picture is sharp, bright and natural. I use it for HDTV over cable, as well as Blu-Ray discs, DVDs, and games on the PS3 and Wii, and all of it looks great. It also has a lot of connectivity options with four HDMI ports. I'm very pleased with this purchase and would definitely consider Vizio in the future.

I bought this in July at BJ's Wholesale Club and I absolutely love it. I did a lot of research before deciding on a Vizio. I currently have it hooked up to a high end blu ray player, and the picture quality is outstanding. I am so happy I did not pay 15% extra or more for a Sony or Samsung, and also, it is fun for me to support the new kid on the block!
2 Big thumbs up!

This is my first LCD TV and I couldn't be happier. The picture is fantastic with HDMI input on HD channels, and pretty good with SD channels and comp. input. Beautiful design. Set came assembled and ready to go. 4 HDMI inputs. Decent speakers. Also has PIP you can program to show different inputs (you can watch the TV in the corner while a movie is on, etc.). Overall, a fantastic value.
