Good Tv for the price. From one of the old reliable brands. Sound quality is better than the others like Sharp,Vizio, etc. Picture is good,but could use some improving.

The TV works - and looks - great. I use it with an HD cable box (using an HDMI cable), which is working very well. I mainly wanted to watch sports, in HD, on a big screen, and this TV allows me to do just that. I haven't done much with it in terms of DVDs or video games, but I have noticed that one can alter the picture format for DVDs (widescreen/zoom/movie expand 14:9/movie expand 16:9, etc.), which is a good thing. I'm very pleased with the TV, especially considering the (relatively) low cost.

I was called three days before delivery date and I was able to arrainge my own time of delivery. The delivery man called me when he arrived in town and I gave him good directions on how to get to my house and was waiting outside for him. He brought this BIG 47" TV in and unwrapped it for me...checked it all over for any scratchs or dents...gave me all the shipping slips and instruction on the return if within 30 days anything went wrong. I have it now for 20 days and it is perfect. Amazon did fine by me.

I have worked for a cable company as well as a Directv and Dish Network maintainer, so I get a look at TVs at every price level. That said this is a pretty good TV, at the price it goes for this is a great TV. I use it with digital cable, mostly High Def, also an Xbox 360 and a PS3 all through HDMI connections. After some initial tweaking the picture is beautiful. There is no adjustment for the backlight so the picture is very bright,and while this great for rooms with a lot of ambient light, this leads to the one problem that I have with this set, during very bright, usually sunlight scenes, there is considerable blooming of the lighted objects. It only manifest itself under certain conditions and by no means often, but you should be aware. If you're not looking for perfection from a set, just a good picture at a great price, here it is.
